Greetings and Welcome to the “30 Pieces of Silver” Ministry Home Page!

Our Ministry is an interactive study of the Word of God that meets every Tuesday night @ 7 pm. We feature a diverse group of passionate Christian speakers who seek to establish a deeper personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through a lively study of the Word of God. We recognize that the purpose of the Word of God is for men and women to become wise to salvation.

We utilize Facebook Live as the medium for our weekly messages. It’s easy to access even if you do not have a Facebook account. Simply go to our homepage and scroll down until you see the tab for joining our broadcasts. Then click on the tab and you will be brought directly to the site.

Please feel free to take advantage of listening to previous broadcasts as these are available in our archives. This is a great benefit that allows you to stay up to date in your journey with us!

Our program also places a huge emphasis on prayer. Prayers are given for individuals, our church, and this ministry as we are firm believers in the power of prayer.

Another very important aspect of our ministry focuses on the Holy Spirit. In John 16:7, Jesus speaks a profound truth regarding the Holy Spirit: “But very truly I tell you, it is for your own good that I am going away. Unless I go away the Advocate will not come to you, but if I go, I will send him to you.”

The Word of God teaches us that when we are saved the Holy Spirit immediately takes up occupancy in our bodies. From that moment forward we are in conflict with the Spirit because we have placed the desires of the flesh, which are primarily sinfulness and selfishness, first and foremost in our lives. Paul speaks about this very condition in Chapter 5 in the book of Galatians. Our goal as Christians is to be submissive to the Spirit by surrendering our selfish desires for the will of the Spirit. The Way of the Holy Spirit is characterized by a “servant” approach to life whose conduct is exemplified by the fruits of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, and self-control.

The importance of surrendering to the Holy Spirit is confirmed by Jesus in John 3:5:
“Very truly I tell you no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.”
In this verse, Jesus refers to “born of water” as the Word of God and not baptism. Baptism is a work and although extremely important it is not a requirement for salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 makes this abundantly clear by reminding us we are saved by grace and by grace alone:
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Scripture teaches us that only the Holy Spirit fully knows the Word of God. Therefore, submission to the Holy Spirit and studying the Word of God must be done in tandem. It is this approach that reveals the deeper things of God while ensuring Christian development in a satanic world.

We hope you join us each week as we seek to reveal the truth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

What is the meaning behind our ministry’s name “30 Pieces of Silver”

Almost everyone is familiar with this amount of money as the price that was paid to Judas Iscariot to betray our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It’s difficult to conceive placing a price on any human life but this is especially true when it comes to the life of the King of the Universe. This petty amount perfectly illustrates the depth of man’s insolence and depravity.

Did you know there are 89 chapters that comprise the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John)? Two-thirds of these chapters center on the first 33 years of Jesus’ life and one-third focuses on the last week of His life. When one views the gospels from this vantage point it becomes abundantly clear as to where the gospel writers were placing the emphasis on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

It was in this last week where the betrayal, crucifixion, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ took place. For many Christians, these closing chapters of each gospel are difficult to linger on due to their dark nature and the bitter sufferings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ endured.

The truth is this is the most important place for Christians to focus on because these are the events that opened the door for our salvation. We are washed clean of our sins by the blood of Jesus Christ and through His death and resurrection, we are redeemed, saved, and called righteous!

The truth is Jesus’ ministry is a ministry filled with paradoxes. Jesus commanded us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Jesus also said he who is first will be last and whoever seeks to save his life will lose it but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

The greatest paradox of Jesus’ ministry is the cross. For even though the cross represents the agony and bitter sufferings endured by our Lord Jesus Christ, it also stands alone as the greatest symbol of hope for our lost and broken world.

The cross is at the heart of Jesus’ gospel and without it we would not have a resurrection or a salvation. Praise God for giving us his Son! And praise Jesus for John 3:16!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosever shall believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
