 Traditional Worship
Diana Starr
Pianist
Diana Starr brings such beauty to the early service. Her keyboard/piano renditions prepare us for worship. Her offertory is uplifting and transitions into prayer as she provides a soft backdrop of music to Pastor Allynn’s prayer.
Her resume is impressive. She began taking piano lessons at seven. She has her own studio, Starr Tracks. She writes, sings, plays and produces all sorts of music. She has written and performed jingles for numerous companies. She has even co-written a screenplay, “Timeless.” Go to her website and listen to her song, “Carousel”. Her website address is www.dianastarrmusic.com.
Diana adds: “I am so thankful to be a part of the Bethany Church Every Sunday. I do seek guidance through our Lord Jesus Christ every day. I believe we all have a mission in this world and we should listen with our heart to what it is he wants for us. If we ask for his guidance, he will show us the way. God Bless our own Pastor Allynn. I always feel moved by the sermon she prepares each Sunday morning. I feel we have a wonderful community here in Columbia and I look forward to what the future brings.”

Contemporary Worship
Dave Buttig
Worship Leader
Dave Buttig is Bethany’s worship leader for second service. He plays piano and guitar, while providing vocals. Raised in Cahokia, he and his wife, Kathy have called Belleville home for over 24-years. They have four children, all raised and out of the house!
Dave fell in love with Rock & Roll after seeing the Beatles. At 16, he began teaching himself by watching other guitar players that played locally. He dreamed of being a R & R star, but God had other plans. (Jer.29:11) Dave was born again in the fall of 1971 during the Jesus Movement. After visiting New Covenant Fellowship and experiencing a different kind of worship led by Ron Tucker (now pastor of Grace Church) with guitars, bass and drums; he knew right then that that was what God called him to do. He started leading worship in 1976 and have been involved in either leading worship or as a part of a worship team playing guitar or bass or Band Leader since then. Over the past five years he also started writing worship songs and preludes (instrumental music) to engage God's people to enter His presence.
Dave and Kathy feel ‘warmly and lovingly’ welcomed by the Bethany family. They do not know how they could possibly feel more loved. They are so thankful! They are thankful for the Holy Spirit leading them to Bethany.
